Cage famously urged listeners not to blame Zen for his music, even
though his experience with Zen buddhism was an influence. Similarly,
I don't think we can assume Cage would have supported the Facebook
campaign for Christmas UK charts 2010. We can't blame Cage!
However, he did say:
'I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm
frightened by the old ones.' In my view, X-Factor (et al) represent
the old ideas.
